Dance like there's nobody watching, Love like you'll never get hurt, Sing like there's nobody listening, Live like it's heaven on earth, And speak from the heart to be heard. ~ William W. Purkey

Happy Halloween!

Two days back, my colleague e-mailed everyone in my department about the splitting of money for a colleague's surprise birthday present. The funny thing is, the birthday girl's email was in the list!

We told the birthday girl to just act surprised when she gets it to spare my colleague the embarassment. Haha. XD

Sorry people for the past few days 'moody' posts. I've been feeling a little negative lately.. snapping at people I shouldn't have (sorry!) and neglecting some duties (double sorry!). Just feeling very tired, unwell and well... mostly tired. So many things to do and so little time.

Adding to my frustration is the fact that yesterday evening's thunderstorm zapped my house and rendered the Astro dish & electric gate broke (again!). Are some houses just lightning prone? It never fails to trip whenever there's a thunderstorm! T__T

I think I need a holiday.....

I am blardy tired!
And very cranky!
I have class tonight!
I have wrinkles & bags under my eyes!
My office is making it compulsory for us to go to the gym!
Twice a week!

*bweeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!!*

Guess what? I have an inflamed right jaw-joint. Now how did that happen?! Doctor says I must keep away from eating crunchy hard stuff. Bleh! :P My jaw literally creaks!

Anyways, watched Reign of Fire last night. I had no idea what to expect, but luckily, it turned out ok :) Christian Bale is SO different from that weird American Psycho movie. Creepy, that one is.

Feeling tired now. Been tired the whole weekend. Weekends are turning out to be more tiring than weekdays. Ish ish!

Oh yea, if anyone is interested in going for a dance showcase, please let me know! More details tomorrow....... :)

I take this moment to advertise one funny play I went to last night:

"Tow tribes armed with nothing but their wits, their talents, their charms and their ability to cheat, have to act, sing and dance their way out of sticky, potentially fatal situations- suggested by you the audience. The tribes must create entire scenarios with beginnings, middles and endings (not necessarily in that order?). At the end of each round, members of the two tribes will be forced to vote out the weakest member of their tribe".

Who will Outlast Outdo Outperform and Upstage everyone else?

Survival- more local than Whose Line Is It Anyway?'

This totally spontaneous play is on til this Sunday at the Bangsar Shopping Centre. Students get to buy tickets at RM27! Go if you like stories of men giving birth, people tying on underwear in public, impersonations of local politicians with total violence & chaos! ^__^

My mum gave me a new wallet yesterday. It's a fake Prada. Nyahahah! Can't tell the difference from the real thing. >:)

Oh yea, I forgot to mention that I ate half a piece of mouldy kuih on Sunday night. Yuck!! I hope I don't have spores growing in my tummy... XP

Update: Please welcome my ex-roomie Ah Meng to the Blogger Fellowship! Hurrah! :)

Tuesday, October 22, 2002

My dad & I were caught in the 'Great Subang Jam' yesterday evening. Took us (and everyone else) 45 minutes or so to get out of the small road outside the office and then another 45 minutes back home. Some were stuck for that long inside the carpark. Why? Some accident on the Federal Highway they say. Ish ish! :P

On a happier note, I finally ordered my custom made tap shoes. Woohoo! Now to wait for it to arrive... ^__^

*tap tap tap*

Manageress on leave for THREE FREAKIN' DAYS!! Woooooooo!! Celebraaaatioooon....!

Anyways, this is the 3rd time I'm updating this blog. There was a power cut in the whole building (3 times!!) and each time I was nearly finished typing, the power goes out. Bah. The printer's not working properly and my computer keeps on error-ing on me. What a way to start a Monday! Gah gah gah. Think I'm gonna have to belanja the IT people teh ais or something... :P

I cheered myself up by doing some quizzes from Laine's blog. Here are the results! :)

What Was Your PastLife?

Yesterday: Got my comp up and running. Installed ORIGINAL graphics software. Woohoo! Nothin interesting happened after that.

Today: Late for work. So was everyone else. Stooopid rain. Rushed to a 'Corporate Culture' training session only to find 1/4 attendees. Ah well. At least I don't have to sing as late punishment. :P Came back after a chicken rice lunch to finish up website updates for next week's dateline. Got interrupted when IT people came to fix the printer, scanner and install Office 2000. Munched on some cookies and a chicken floss bun while waiting. Scanned stuff. Not going home til 6.30. Will watch repeat of Six Feet Under today.

Muahahahahah!! Gooood byeeeee!!

Wednesday, October 16, 2002

I am back. Using a temporary new hardisk now. Much faster than the old one.

Oh yea, I just realised I missed last nights 'Six Feet Under' cos I thought it was a repeat of the pilot. Sheesh. X-/

Tuesday, October 15, 2002

Wahey! Blogging from home now. Office comp hardisk sent back to HP to be fixed just this afternoon. Won't be online for a few days. Just letting you know in case you think I've gone on MC for a few days or something... :P (I wish!)

Six Feet Under

Delayed message from Saturday: I think I'm addicted already. Lots of weirdness and death. The director actuallly has morticians (and other people in death-related fields) in his production team. Cool! If you want to know what dead bodies can do, watch the show! X-)

Saturdays 10.50pm HBO (repeats throughout the week)

Tis been a tiring weekend (oh the irony...). Rehersals, transcribing, driving, eating and not enough sleep. Oh and a scary movie on Friday night titled 'Dark Waters' :) It was better than what I expected- simple plot but with effective use of sfx, camera angles and lighting. Totally old school.

Next on my list: The Ring!!

Update: Mongooses (not mongeese! XP) still having their nightly jAmBu pARtY in my garden. Found nangka this morning too. I'm wondering if the dog is in on it... hmm...

I am Belle!
Which Disney Princess are you?

Friday, October 11, 2002

My dear dog was depriving me of sleep last night because she whined and barked almost non stop the whole night!! Going out to the back garden this morning, I discovered half eaten jambu's strewn all over the place. Where did it come from?? No jambu tree in my garden nor my immediate neighbours. Cats don't eat fruits do they? Then my dad casually mentioned that there was a jambu tree 2 doors away and it could've been mongooses having a jambu party in my garden. Argh!! (mongoose = long, sleeker versions of raccoons). Why?!

Sigh. I need sleep... crankiness levels on the rise... >:|

Electricity in my home is back to normal. The electrician determined that the wiring was REALLY screwed. Took him 6 hours to get the job done! Luckily, we packed ‘char siew, siew yok fan’ for his dinner…

Met Aewis on Saturday night with Kalamari. Had a nice chit-chatty apom eating session at a mamak in Subang. Mmm… Found out that her neighbour’s home is uninhabited because the woman who lived there with her 2 children was someone’s mistress who committed suicide. I don’t blame anyone for not wanting to live there... didn't help that we were parked facing the house! *shiver* :)

Anyways, happy Monday everyone! May the week pass quick!

Today's breakfast: Nasi lemak, banana cake & chrynsanthemum tea... Yum!

I watched a bit of Survivor last night. Still as shallow as before. Ho hum. Damn sleepy nowww... =___=

My home blacked out a few times last night. It was determined that the light switch in my bathroom was the cause of the tripping. After a few tries, we decided to switch off the main power supply to half the upstairs floor. Now we watch TV in the dark. Hee hee. :)

CATs was a fun musical to watch. The view was still good eventhough I was sitted at the side of the theatre (thumbs up to Istana Budaya!). Singing wise, they were good, but they somehow lacked dance energy (unlike Fame which was so in-your-face). My parents also commented that some of the cats were fat! Haha! I just thought some of them were beefy.

Notes:

1. The girl who played Grizabella (Paladino) has a superb voice and I think its worth paying for the tickets just to hear her sing 'Memory'. *glazed look takes over*
2. Rum Tum Tugger (the miang cat) was a little too short. He sounded nasally too. Gaya factor not lost though. XP
3. Deutoronomy looked like a.... small Chewbacca. I nearly burst out laughing when he first came on stage. XD But his voice will blow you awaaaay....
4. The cats who mingled and played with the crowd during the show and intermission were really cute. They literally got some girls screaming after tickling them... hehehe...

So... go watch it-lah if you can... I'm getting too sleepy to type anymore.. MEOW! ^_^

What are the chances of having a three car pile up while your car is safely parked at home? A crazy woman driver actually managed to hit my manageress' car (in the house) after hitting her friend's car and gate. :O Wowee.

Meow! Hiss! Purr!
Gonna watch CATs tonight! Woohoo!

Eating alone can be quite rejuvenating ... although it might take some getting used to. As much as I would like to socialize and work hard at my job, I don't see the reason why people like to 'tapau' food and eat in the office! Once in a while is fine, but not everyday... :/

*rant rant*

ps: New buddy blogs up! :) Check out Jumbuck? and BoxOut Screams!

Tuesday, October 01, 2002

Check out the latest design for Office Bloggers! Please divert all compliments to Reins! ;)

Anyways, other than the above, nothing much happened today. Manager-ess on emergency leave. Boring.

*yawn*
