1001 Tales of Kotak’s Weekend…

Thursday: Went for steamboat dinner at Nelayan in Taipan with my colleagues after work. The phrase stuffed pigs would have been an ideal theme for that evening. *burp*

Friday: Spent the whole morning alone at home which was nice- no mum yelling and stuff :P Meng called me for shopping plans so I went 2 meet her, D3 and Chris Lam (Wai Khiong) at Midvalley. Ate like a pig AGAIN. Kalamari couldn’t join us cause he had work! (that word should be banned on a public holiday.. ish ish!) Bought meself a pair of sandals tho I’m craving for that pair from Hush Puppies….. *hint hint* >:)

Got stung by that dratted bee while walking out from my parents room that night. What was it doing on the floor?! The side of my left foot swelled up (like a giant bunion) for 2 hours or so b4 subsiding after a vinegar bath :P This gives a new meaning to smelly feet! Was plenty worried in case I was allergic to bee stings… More worried now cause my sis says I could react worse to the next sting since I have antibodies now :O

Saturday: Woke up unintentionally at 8.30am… went to see doctor bout my aching jaw b4 breakfast. I have 3 kinds of medication to take now & one of them is actually for arthritis! o_o. Had 2 classes to go to and then off to Kajang for satay dinner. Mmmmm!! Long journey, but the food was very worth it :)

Sunday: Woke up at 10am. Went to 1Utama 4 lunch & to look at spectacle frames… too expensive! Will go to Sungai Wang next weekend… anyone wanna follow? Haha.. 1Utama looks better now.. had a mild adventure in the new foodcourt when the fire alarms rang & doors started closing. Did I panic? Noo!! I just continued eating. Nyahaha. False alarm anywaaaay…

Today: Time passing quick today. Spent most of the morning typing & planning my leave for December. Luckily I’m allowed to bring forward my leave til next year. Holidays, here I come!! Whooooohooooooo!!

Last night after a day out, I got stung by a bee. For such a tiny creature, it's sure as hell PAINFUL! Argh! Soaking the wound in vinegar wasn't pleasant smelling at all :P

And I got a 'saman' this morning for being 20 minutes late to my car. Unsympathetic police man!!! Grrr....

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day..

A new idea for a reality game show series? ...then there is reality tragedy. Fox is also developing, "Exhausted," a game-show version of Depression-era dance marathons, as depicted in "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" Contestants will be kept sleepless for 24 hours, then made to compete in a variety of games and contests for another 24. When only two finalists are left standing, they are seated in cozy armchairs. The first to fall asleep loses. Cool! :)

Holiday tomorrow! Seee yaaaah!! :D

Spent most of the morning lugging around a digicam and 2 bags of Christmas & Raya decor round the office. Talk about being conspicuous! :P Work is done for the moment as I spend my time aimslessly surfing and dreaming about the long weekend ahead... Ooooh, and not forgetting the Mega Sale that starts this Saturday!! >:D

Other matters at hand: Colleagues discussing on where to have our department dinner tomorrow- any suggestions on halal seafood/steamboat restaurants?

The Las Ketchup Dance... with a twist...

The rain yesterday was fantastic! Floods everywhere! O_o

Had a buka puasa makan yesterday evening after spending an hour taking photos of boring people at a boring meeting. BORING!

The food gathering however, was quite interesting mainly because I got to see large volumes of office people rushing to get free food! Haha. Ironically, there were more non-Muslims than Muslims. The food was so-so… I heard that some parts of the fried mihun was basi(!!) and the only nice things to eat were the ulams. Nyam nyam. I like four angle beans! :D I also stuffed myself with curry chicken, fish and overly sweet air sirap. Bleh!

Reached home at about 7.45pm and spent the rest of the night recovering from lembik ikan bakar. Decided that TV’s are a great way of recovering from a heavy meal (or is it bad? XP)

3 ½ days to the long weekend and 17 more days to the Raya hols

I feel bloated right now. I think I've been overeating. This is not healthy. Uh huh. Not healthy at all.

Went to Cyberjaya on Saturday to visit Kalamari's apartment which he shares with Booya. Not too shabby-lah! Pretty liveable. The whole area has changed quite a bit since the last time I was there- more trees, more buildings and it's definitely more crowded!

Spent Sunday afternoon in Sungai Wang Plaza looking for stuff for my sis. Wishing that the 25th of the month would come more quickly so that I can spend some $$$ (after savings of course). Darn you conscience for that perpetual feeling of GUILT! :P

I've come to the conclusion that no matter how much you earn, it's never enough! Sigh~~ Anyone wanna wallow in pity with me?

When I'm confirmed in December, I'll have 7 days leave! Yahoooooooo!!

If you think having hand phones ringing during a movie is irritating, how about having a running commentary from the people sitting next to you? Yesh, either everyone was slightly high last night, or it was just the ‘Harry Potter magic’. First we had one guy who swore non stop (for 5/6 minutes?) at the person sitting in front of him when he was told to shut up. Then a girl (who obviously memorized every single line of HP) went all out by having a discussion with her buddy on the movie. And every time Lockhart appeared, she shrieked! Loudly! Grrr…
After an hour or so, Kalamari took action and told her to lower her voice (or else violence would certainly ensue). Oh joy! Peace! Good triumphs over evilll!

Now about the movie- its waaay more exciting than the 1st show (but 1st show still good-lah). Less emphasis on the quidditch game but with more violence and fighting. Yeah! For Snape fans, well, he doesn’t appear all that much but there’s Lockhart! (?) Haha… black & whiite… one extreme to another. I liked the sinister Lucius Malfoy though… Jason Isaacs plays him extremely well. Read Dan's blog for more reviews. :)

Yesterday was an adventure of sorts cause for the first time in months, I was somewhere else other than the office! :P Read Daniel's blog for more info :) I had beef noodles for breakfast tho I didnt finish it and another bowl of noodles for lunch. Gosh, I'm definitely eating too much! XP Menggemuk time!

I've been busy most of the day (hence this late blog) but I'm happy I'm occupied. There was apparently only 2 people in my department around yesterday (out of 9) cause 4 of us were at the seminar, 1 on leave and another 2 on emergency leave. Coincidence? Hmmm...

Going for Adobe's Arresting Design seminar tomorrow! Muahaha... last minute thing for me.. didn't know my colleagues were going.. talk about lack of communication! Heh... and there I thought the manager was supposed to ask the employee's to go (not vice versa). Ah well, a good lesson learned.

Other good news of the day is that my house phone has finally been fixed! Luckily mould hasn't grown on the phone after 2 weeks of non-usage. :D No more high handphone bills!

Gosh, I'm hungry. I feel like having hot and spicy szechuan soup now...

Friday
Managed to catch Spirited Away. Damn good show- weird, creepy and exciting all in one. The show really got me into a trance *eyes swirling round*. Oh yea, Yubaba creeps me out big time. My, what big hair you have! Haha. Go watch it! Also bought a RM55 glass tea pot for my mum. Expensive eh? Thank goodness for (supplementary) credit cards.

Saturday night & Sunday afternoon
The tap performance on both days was good. Not perfect, but fun nonetheless. Spent a lot of time getting ready and made up for the show. Also found out that a lot of girls like purple eye shadow. Hmmm… My only regret is me forgetting to bring my camera for both shows! Aaargh! Sungguh tak baik! Will post up photos when I get my grimy hands on my classmate’s copies. Thanks Kalamari, Booya & Zeke for coming! ;)

Sunday night
Had HUGE quantities of bak kut teh for dinner. I think I've had enough protein for the whole week. *burp* No wonder I fell asleep at 10.30...

Good morning all ! Tis a Friday and I'm happy! This week has gone by incredibly fast (maybe because Monday was a holiday?) *does the dance of joy*

Anyways, just to let whoever wants to know: My right jaw still aches. Am I getting an arthiritic jaw? Haiyaah! Menyusahkan! It creaks sometimes and hurts if I try to eat anything too hard or crunchy. Bleh! Need to see doc again... Let's get high on drugs! 8-}

In the meantime, I shall be preparing for tomorrow's tap performance.. nothin fancy cause I'm no expert yet. Hope I don't slip in my new shoes. *touch wood* Gonna be dead tired cause we have 2 performances. That means 2 rounds of make up! NooOoOoOooooOOooo!

Oh yea, I also wanna say "GET WELL SOON ZEKE!!!" Hope the injury doesn't hurt too much! :) Can't get over how 'selamba' you sound about it.. hehehe...

I think I should try fasting one of these days… not for dieting purposes but to see how I cope with not eating & drinking for a whole day (I’ll take things slow first-lah, heh). Anyways, can’t wait to get some ‘buka puasa’ goodies… kerabu, rendang, lemang… :D~~ That is... if it doesn’t rain.

Welcome back to the week! Ahh... the weekend was pretty busy for me up til Monday when I got the whole house to myself from about 5pm onwards. Parents went to Kajang for satay in the afternoon, so I had 5 sticks of satay and noodles for dinner- by myself while I watched tv upstairs! Went handphone scouting with Kalamari in KLCC yesterday afternoon & discovered we really need more funding. I also discovered that KLCC is really unnerving when it sways. *9/11 flashback* o_o

Update from last week’s lightning strike:

1. House phone still down. Wire got zapped and burned and won’t be fixed for a while. Call my handphone! :P
2. DVD played kapooted. All sound and no visuals. Bah!
3. Astro temporarily fixed. The technician lent us a temp decoder while the broken one gets fixed.

Watched 1/2 of Devdas last night (sponsored by *gasp* Kurnia!) and tho it looked good, it was just too LONG! 4 hours of Titanic-like dramatism til 2am? Nah.. I don't like Shah Rukh Khan that much :P
