It has thus far been a great start to my year.

Yesterday morning I finally got confirmation in black & white that I have been promoted, which includes a considerable hike in my pay. I hope to put the extra cash together with my bonus to good use, such as paying back my parents for expenses and maybe, hopefully, invest in something like a (new) car or property. Maybe even go back to school to get a new degree or Masters.

I feel lucky because I have a good boss who told us himself that he sees no point in people working for years on end and not being rewarded for it. My colleague, (much to her surprise) was also promoted after 5 long years - suprised because technically, the boss isn't supposed to promote everyone at the same time (my department only having 2 people.. hah..)

Life is full of possibilities and endless opportunities. I hope that your year has been great so far and may it prosper in times to come.

Boo! to me for not updating my blog. Boooo! I lurked around Salameander's blog and notice that I totally and absolutely neglected to blog about my (drunken) New Year party attended by the Bantus gang.

And boo! to me again for I did not take any photos. No batteries mah. Boo!

And so... I had to steal this photo from Salameander. Haha. Am waiting for the rest of ya who took photos to quickly pass them on to me. Please?


It was 2am on New Year's Day, and that's (from left) Sophie and Hilmy, who was sitting on top of me (in shorts). Yes, we collapsed soon after. Twister aint as easy as it looks, but what fun!

Happy New Year to everyone again... here's to a brand new 2006 :)
