Dance like there's nobody watching, Love like you'll never get hurt, Sing like there's nobody listening, Live like it's heaven on earth, And speak from the heart to be heard. ~ William W. Purkey

Wearing their contempt as a badge of honour

Some people are just plain assholes.

They are:
Disrespectful.
Disorganised.
Unresponsible.
Biased.
Ignorant.

"Yes, things have always been done that way, didn't you know?"
"This is YOUR event. You handle it yourself"
"I don't know. You think about it-lah"
"Your people must have given a bad presentation on the product. That's why we misunderstood it"
"You are the expert. Why don't YOU do it?"

Yes, I'm pissed off. Overloaded. Overwhelmed.

But forgiveness is key. Patience is a virtue after all.

Another piece of random boredness: Check out my colleague's parking skills. Tee hee hee. No wonder the sensor was going bonkers!

On another note, its the start of the FIFA World Cup Germany 2006 games tonight. The mamak guys are gonna be veryyyy happy people indeed this coming month.

Here's to more sleepless nights! :) Happy weekend peeps!

Retro purple

After 3+ years of doing capoeira, I was finally suffered from my first (real) injury.

Perereca ("frog" in Portuguese) / Ivan / Rubber Boy kicked me right in the left eye with the back of his ankle in our regular roda last Saturday while executing a move called the 3-60 (degrees). I actually saw the foot coming, but could not avoid it in time. Blinded for a minute or so, people had to lead me out cause I could not open my eyes. Luckily, I only suffered from a temporarily swollened eyeball, a bruised eyelid and a small cut over my eye - less severe than what I thought it would be. Friends were telling me to put on purple eyeshadow today to make my injury look less obvious... I like to call this look "retro" :P

Question from me is: Should I go see the eye doctor? My eye seems fine, only bruised and scabby today.

Barely 10 mins after I got kicked, a newbie got hit in the chest by Rafael. What made it scary was that she fell over the 1 foot curb and landed on her back. She was winded, but I think it was alot of shock *phew*

I hope these incidents doesnt put anyone off capoeira or any sport for that matter as we had a massive amount of spectators at that roda. It was all part and puzzle of the game and anyone can get injured in less dramatic circumstances. Right?

Dum dee dum..

(I have photos, but its damn ugly so I won't post it up... yes, I'm vain that way :P)
