Dance like there's nobody watching, Love like you'll never get hurt, Sing like there's nobody listening, Live like it's heaven on earth, And speak from the heart to be heard. ~ William W. Purkey

SELAMAT HARI MERDEKA!

Fuuh, jiwangnya!

Performing in front of a crowd is one thing, but speaking in front of around a 1000 people is quite nerve wrecking.

We only got our emcee scripts yesterday morning and had a 3 hour rehersal at the Sunway Lagoon Resort Grand Ballroom. At 2pm, I ran to Sunway Pyramid to get a pair of earrings to go with my dress, rushed home to pack my stuff, rushed to the salon to get my hair and make-up done at 3.30pm and back to the hotel to change before last minute practice.

By this time, it was already 6pm. Another 6 hours to go before I was able to go home =___=

Things started out ok, except that I made the mistake of looking at the spot lights. Momentarily blinded, I lost sight of my script in the middle of the introduction. Damn! There were little hiccups here and there (as usual) but the funny thing was that the opening gambit didn't go off on time. My CEO had to stand on stage waiting for something to happen. Let's blame the event organisers!

We were finally done at 12.30am. I barely ate the whole day and my legs felt like jelly. I finally got home and slept around 2am. ZzzZz...

More emcee-ing next year? It's nice dressing up and all but... well, let me think bout it first ;)

ps: Photos to come!

Blogging. Is. Tedious. Hard. Work.

Sorry guys, looks like I won't be updating in a while. There's too much to be done and and there ain't a whole lot of interesting stuff for me to write about anyway.

I'll be back ;)

I'm so tired. I was up at 6am yesterday, 6.30am today and 6am again tomorrow. Reason? The company's annual report photoshoot, press conference & photoshoot again.

I'm exhausted. My feet hurt, my head is spinning & my brain is this close to exploding. It doesn't help that my (somewhat new) boss isn't familar with how things are run when it comes to handling the media. It doesn't help when you tell us "I can't accept this reason, you better have a good explanation for this!".

Thank goodness, things turned out alright. I hope.

Anyway, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the big man up there in the sky for getting rid of the haze. Let's hope it doesn't rain at tomorrow's outdoor photoshoot though.... :O

My family and I were on our way back from Midvalley after a bout of shopping last night & driving quite fast on the right lane, when suddenly, the cars up front stopped for no particular reason. This is what happened:

* My dad braked, realised that he might not make it and swerved to the left, half-way onto the middle lane to avoid crashing into the Waja in front.
* The Proton Saga behind us swerved to the right onto the grassy area.
* A Wira approached from behind the Saga, grazed it, bumped the back corner of my dad's car and crashed headlong into the Waja (which was originally in front of us)
* The momentum of the crash caused the Waja to hit another Wira in front of it.

I watched the whole crash happen beside me from inside the car. The Waja's rear was smashed all the way to the back seat, and I'm assuming the Wira's bonnet didnt hold up well either. It was like the Malaysian Milo Tin car pile up! :O (except for our car which was a Kia Optima).

Since the damage to my dad's car was minor compared to the others, we decided to leave the scene after my dad determined that no one was hurt.

What an end to my weekend... o_O

Read the S.C.U.M Manisfesto.

Amusing indeed.
