We are No. 1

Yessssssss......!! My company has officially been declared as No. 1 in the industry with tremendous growth in numbers.

And all this despite last year's economic turmoil and fierce competition from our rivals.

This means only one thing.

A NICE BIG FAT BONUS!!!

Happy (Belated) New Year to y'all!

Wow. It's been a good 1 month and 14 days since my last blog. Oompah!

It's funny how things have progressed (or not at all). I have big plans for this year and am hoping that it'll work out- provided my finances hold up and there's BONUS this year...

(touching wood, crossing fingers, throwing salt over shoulder, praying.. whatever it takes!)

... cause, boys and girls, it's freakin' time to buy a house. Or an apartment. Or whatever.
(no details at this point in time, so... yeah... it's just plans at this point) Time to exert my independence... and flee the nest! :)

My company is aiming to beat our closest competitor to be No. 1 in the industry, AND, if it that happens, well, then we'll all be very happy people. However, the doom and gloom on 2009's economic situation doesn't make things sound easy at all.

Aiseyman. Tak shiok-lah macam tu!

Anyway, here's to a fabulous 2009 to all... wishes from me and (one out of three of) my dog Basil's pups, Nanuk (variation of Nanook, an Inuit or Eskimo myth name for the 'master of bears', meaning 'polar bear' in Inuktitut).

Cuteness overload!

I'm so glad it's a Friday

Tip of the day: People seem to be less crabby after a meal. Especially a heavy one. Thus, this is the best time to hassle them to do work for you if needed :D

If you didn't know already, it's been a crazy hectic week for me at the office. Introducing lots of new products is great (for the company), but it means a helluva lot more work for us slaves staff.

No pain, no gain they say.

Right-o. I'm so NOT amused.

Basically, I've been the ad agency's constant companion this past week as we worked to get our marketing materials right. I don't mind doing it, but it's not funny when the deadline constantly moves! And to pi$$ me off further, why do people insist on giving me last minute changes? (although... I'm sure my ad agency is saying the same thing about me :P) It's not like it's the first time you are looking at it. And it's not like I have the design program on my laptop to make the changes for you. And quit complaining about why it takes so long to make amendments!

Buggers!

If any of you company spies are reading this blog, well... read on! :D

Anyway... I'll be turning 28 next Wednesday. Am taking the day off (which I've never done) and spend some quality time lazing around. Yay.

Last but not least, here's a special shoutout to someone for entertaining me during this nasty spell at work. Thank YOU! :)

Happy Coolie's Day

Family portrait. Geng MMU tahun 2002.

Now THIS is what we call a proper potluck... where people actually bring real food. Haha.

I made chicken souvlaki - greek style chicken kebabs (on the left with yoghurt sauce). Very healthy and very easy to make.

The cake pretty much sums it all up. Yum!

Thanks Daniel for hosting the potluck lunch. It was fun.. and delicious Labour Day all at the same time :)
