Dance like there's nobody watching, Love like you'll never get hurt, Sing like there's nobody listening, Live like it's heaven on earth, And speak from the heart to be heard. ~ William W. Purkey

Happy Coolie's Day

Family portrait. Geng MMU tahun 2002.

Now THIS is what we call a proper potluck... where people actually bring real food. Haha.

I made chicken souvlaki - greek style chicken kebabs (on the left with yoghurt sauce). Very healthy and very easy to make.

The cake pretty much sums it all up. Yum!

Thanks Daniel for hosting the potluck lunch. It was fun.. and delicious Labour Day all at the same time :)

Too much free (good) food is bad for you.
Bad. Bad. Bad!!!!!!!
I blame it on CNY.
Tsk tsk! :P

Bangkok

Was off to Bangkok last weekend for 3 days/2 nights with fellow uni mates Daniel, Meng Huay, Hsiang Lin & new friend Paul. The trip was spent mostly eating, walking, shopping, dodging traffic (e.g. tut tut's) and trying our hardest not to inhale vehicle fumes :P Highlight of the trip was getting a full 2-hour Thai massage for only RM36. Dirt cheap or what?! :)

Our first meal in Bangkok. I think its beef noodles. The soup's kinda sweet, but its real yummy... especially after I dumped in tons of chili flakes *drool*

Day 1: Posing on the sky bridge outside MBK, a huge shopping mall similar to Sg. Wang. We spent most of day 1 hopping from mall to mall.

The double storey LRT outside MBK.

Siam Paragon shopping mall. Ex-pen-sive!

Infinity pools are fun! :)

I miss the fooooooodddddd!!! ;__;

Day 2: Chatuchak market. We actually woke up at 7am to get there and only left at around 3.30pm. This place is MASSIVE! Despite sweaty clothes and aching legs, I'll do Chatuchak again!

Daniel eating goo.

Fruit punch & Thai ice coffee. Good stuff but waaaaay too sweet. I kept on adding water to the coffee and it seemed never ending :P

After our shopping marathon & bus-stuck-in-jam-adventure, we stopped for a snack - freshly fried quail eggs. Doesn't taste any different from regular chicken eggs though.

Paul eating a grasshopper. Urgh. Enuff said.

Day 3: Outside the royal palace grounds. Notice the birds? The national guards were letting off their guns/tanks in conjunction with the Queen's birthday.
Random photo of a cat outside the hotel. Is it trying to stay warm?

As you can tell, the trip was mostly about food. Most importantly, it was a fun holiday with friends. So... who's with me for next year's trip? >:)
(Will upload the rest of the pictures soon...)
